Diploma Interior Design student, Bobbi Fitzpatrick, was announced as the winner of the exciting hand-tufted rug design competition hosted by Jacaranda Carpets recently."Having admired Jacaranda since my first degree in Textile and Surface Design, winning this industry competition was an honour and truly gratifying. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with the Jacaranda team to further develop my design and witness it come to life."Inspiration for Bobbi's design came from the 'breathtaking landscape' which she witnessed whilst on a cliff hike in Portugal, specifically the trail’s unique rock shapes and eroded surfaces. "Throughout my creative process, initial sketches led me through a myriad of designs. I enjoyed experimenting with not only shapes but different pile types and depths.
