Agreed 100%
Tag team of the year: Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne (Air Boom)
I thought more could have been done with Awesome Truth and that could have been something special.
Match of the year: CM Punk vs. John Cena (Money in the Bank 2011)
Agreed.
Feud of the year: Randy Orton vs. Christian
Nope, it's Cena vs. Punk to me, and I'll put that against any other company because that drew and could have been part of a real renaissance for WWE until they blew it at the end of SS.
Most popular wrestler of the year: John Cena
Oh, not even close. I would say Rock, or maybe even Punk. This is in no way true to anyone but marks for John Cena.
Most hated wrestler of the year: Alberto del Rio
Nah, I think a case could be made for John Cena. I think Miz or Mark Henry might be better fits for this position.
Most improved wrestler of the year: Zack Ryder
Yep, I have to agree with this. The guy broke through, when I first saw that gimmick, I saw it as a fast train to nowhere...now I'm as much a broski as anyone else. Ryder silenced this critic. Woo woo, you know it!
Most Inspirational wreslter of the year: Edge
Hmmm, I'm not sure I'd call him the most inspirational, but his retirement was easily one of the emotional watersheds of the year. What a tremendous loss he is to them that they are still reeling from.
Rookie of the year: Jinder Mahal
Are you high? Mahal is doing jobs to Sheamus in no time at all. Mahal means absolutely zip without Khali around. In fact, I don't think there is a rookie of the year this year since WWE really didn't bring up anybody that hasn't been around last year or longer.
Comeback of the year: Kane
Oh come on. Kane has been back two weeks, and beat up John Cena. This award belongs to Mark Henry, who went from meaning nothing and being on the verge of retirement at the beginning of the year, to having the best run of his career, and being a bona fide main event level talent.
Woman of the year: Kelly Kelly
Again, no. Kelly has improved tremendously, but for her that only means she's decent and not a complete klutz in there. Beth Phoenix is holding the entire division up right now and it's criminal that WWE seems determined to beat Pin Up Strong every chance they get instead of really letting them run over the divas en route to building up that one diva who'll be able to stop them.
PPV of the year: Money in the Bank 2011
mmm, it's this or WM. I think you could make strong cases for either one.
Worst PPV of the year: Capitol Punishment
Yep.
Most embarrassing wrestler: Kane
Based on what? I think there's way waaaay worse talents on the roster.
Best on interviews: The Miz
I would have said that before they really turned Punk lose.
Most Charismatic: The Rock
Anytime Rock can be on a ballot for an award like this, he's going to win it. There's just no one out there like The Rock. A once in a generation (if even that) talent.
Most overrated: Big Show
Big Show has been solid of late. Though nothing will beat his 06 WWECW run. I don't think I'd call him the most overrated though. That award I think goes to Kevin Nash.
Most underrated: John Morrison
Underrated yes, the most though? Again, dunno. Morrison checked out on the company. I think they underestimate Wade Barrett a lot, and until Zack Ryder finally started to get his push, this was clearly Ryder's to win. I think you could still give it to him based on the fact that it's only been a week since he got the US belt.
Best non-wrestler: Vickie Guerrero
Best manager easily. Probably the best character that doesn't wrestle as well.
Best television announcer: Michael Cole
Bullf*ckingsh*t. If I have to explain why Michael Cole is awful and a complete detriment to the product, you just don't understand wrestling. Seriously. Josh Matthews or Jim Ross easily.
Worst television announcer: Booker T
Yeah.
Worst feud of the year: Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus
Was that even really a feud?
Best Gimmick: Hunico (Reggaeton gangster)
Who now?
Best Babyface: CM Punk
Easily.
Best Heel: Vickie Guerrero
Eh, I think Vickie is cooling off. I think Miz was an excellent heel this year. R-Truth as well before they made him a goof. I'd go with Miz here.
