These questions can tell you a lot about whether your child is responsible enough to handle a cell phone. If you find after a couple weeks of observing that improvement is needed in those areas. Sit down with your child and explain that you are thinking about buying them a cell phone, and you need to see that they are responsible enough to use one. Talk with them about how having a cell phone is a privilege and not a right. And that they need to earn that privilege. Let them know the areas where they need to improve and what you expect from them.
For bed covers, bed sheets and curtains, use prints that are either floral or have simple geometrical patterns. Animal prints, prints with alphabets, places, seven wonders of the world, etc. can also be used. For decorative items, it is advisable to not put any glassware or decorative piece in the kids‘ room. Instead, decorate your kids‘ room with games, childish furniture like a bean bag, some soft toys, toy cycle, etc. If possible, leave as much free space as possible in the room for your kid to roam about in the room with hitting at the furniture. Try placing a carpet at one location in the room where your child can sit on the floor and enjoy some games with friends.
No matter what your reason is for buying a cell phone for your child I think it‘s a good idea to make sure they can be responsible. I know parents who have bought cell phones for their kids and they wind up losing them, or letting their friends borrow them. Before giving one to your child take a couple months to determine if they can handle the responsibility by observing your child and ask yourself:
Themed bedrooms are great for kids. It is not only the beds that get the attention but every detail, color and shape is carried unto the nightstands, dressers, study tables, chairs and bookcases as well. This, in turn, creates a cohesive look in the bedroom in just one sweep. Besides, having mismatched items can create confusion in children. Parents can‘t simply put a safari animal-inspired dresser in an underwater-themed bedroom nor have cowboy chairs paired with space shuttle-shaped desks. Mixing a lot of varying ideas can also make the children‘s bedroom look cluttered and overwhelming.
