Feng Shui was developed in China over 3000 years ago, the word feng meaning wind and Shui representing water. They were linked to a good harvest which in turn would bring prosperity and good fortune. This theory has been developed over time and adapted to our modern lifestyle as a way to gain spiritual and physical well being in our relationships, career and health.
This article will only discuss the basic theories of classical feng shui in terms of colour but if you follow the tips presented you could easily transform your bedroom into a serene and calming haven. One of the key concepts of feng shui is the Bagua, a hexagonal shape divided into sections and each representing a different aspect of your life, for example love, health and so on. Each section of the Bagua has a corresponding colour which balances these aspects by ’curing’ any imbalance.
